Intruder (Atari 8-bit Cassette 50 Game 32)

There’s an intruder in this building. Somewhere. I’m not going to tell you where, or let you use CCTV or anything to make it easy. No, you have work that out for yourself. And if you don’t find him in time. Well, you’ll see what happens (he does a poo in a toilet and doesn’t flush it*).

Poor old Harry the Caveman. Some flying dinosaur keeps coming down and trying to try and steal his stinky fur loincloths. Why I don’t know. It just likes them. I haven’t got any other explanation.

If your idea of an intruder is a caterpillar in a box then this is the game for you. If you get sexually excited by a pixel version of a tiny crow this is also probably the game for you too. You pervert.

Also, this is pretty much the same as Jetmobile on the Commodore 64 Cassette 50

It’s happened to all of us, hasn’t it? That day when you’re in a rush to get somewhere and you find yourself stuck in a garden full of weeds growing all around you, leaving you helplessly trapped. Those days are annoying aren’t they? Yeah.

ZX81 Intruder

FAST PACED. EXCITING. GRIPPING. UTTERLEY THRILLING.

Intruder is none of those things. I think the aim of the game is to move the < > symbols over the * symbol (the intruder is possibly a cats bum).
I have never managed to do this. And I don’t really mind a cat being an intruder in my home, I like cats.

But if you’re the kind of person who disguises yourself as a cats bum to intrude into a persons home then…why? Why would you do that? Not cool. Did you make a costume yourself? I can’t imagine you bought it anywhere, but if you did I’d like to know where so I can go and ask the owners of the shop what they were thinking of.

There’s an intruder in the building. It might be some kind of hotel or a block of flats and you have to find the intruder. The instructions don’t explain why it has to be you, but I assume it’s because you’re the hardest person around or something and I imagine you’ll give this intruder a stern ticking off when you find him or her. But watch out, you only get five attempts. If you don’t find them they’ll eventually find you and say the five worst swears at you before running off out of the building with a stolen pair of your pants. And later on you’ll find out what a disgusting mess they’ve made in one of the toilets, and you’ll have to clean it up yourself, crying tears of frustration because no one else will ever trust you to get rid of an intruder again. You fucking failure.
